Meet Kylie Christel

Kylie Christel graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy in 1993, and completed her Masters in Applied Health Management through The University of Newcastle in 2005.


Kylie has worked in a variety of positions throughout her career, in hospitals, community teams and charity organisations. Previous positions include Manager of Occupational Therapy Services for Hope Healthcare North in Sydney and Head Occupational Therapist in the Camden REACH Team in London. Kylie started her own successful community based practice in 2006.

Kylie takes great pride in using her extensive experience and knowledge to assist people so that they can carry out the tasks that are most important to them. She works with adults with a wide range of disabilities and diagnoses, to enable them to live at home as independently and safely as possible.

As an occupational therapist, Kylie is a contributor to the nationally accredited Stay Standing Program a quality Healthy Living Program under the Healthy Communities Initiative aimed at preventing falls.

Kylie also has a special interest in working with people with Motor Neurone Disease, and has been providing occupational therapy services to the Multidisciplinary Motor Neurone Disease Clinic at MQ Health located in Macquarie University Hospital since it opened in 2011.

Kylie is a compassionate and caring person who, in her 30 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, has gained a unique understanding of how best to support people with a diverse range of needs. She has a genuine interest in facilitating people to regain their confidence and independence.
