Assistive Technology
Prescription of adaptive equipment to assist function and independence. This ranges from simple gadgets to help in the kitchen, to complex technology & devices such as switch adapted bed controls & eye gaze control systems.
Home Modifications
Assessment of the home environment to implement simple to complex home modifications to assist function, independence & safety.
Older Adults
Individual solutions are provided to support the varied needs of older adults when living at home. This can involve the use of adaptive equipment or implementation of home modifications. Clients with dementia require interventions aimed at maximising their ability to function at home.
Scripted, Manual & Powered Wheelchairs
Kylie uses her extensive knowledge of products to create the best solution for each persons individual needs. This ranges from low cost devices for occasional users to a frequent user who is highly active within the community. Control systems are trialed and set up as required so the powered device can be operated using a hand, foot or head - what ever best suits a person and their requirements.
Skill Development
Working with people with disabilities to develop skills in functional activities and/or adapting the home environment to increase function & independence.
Palliative Care
Interventions are provided to people with life limiting conditions to optimise function, promote dignity & support participation in essential & valued activities. Assists with the management of symptoms such as fatigue, breathlessness and pain, through assessment, education, consulting, task redesign & equipment prescription.
